I really do not know why I chose this name, looks very childish but somehow matches with my abilities/expertise in this arena. I compared my abilities here with child like behaviour because I lack in what according to me are two key elements in writing a good piece of text, first is, clarity of thoughts & second is, able to give words to it.
I am more poor at penning down what goes in my mind, for which I would not feel that bad as this is the thing that not everyone can do and those who can do will never need anything else to do in life. The moment you are able to make other person understand your thoughts convincingly, you have won the complete battle. One of the best ways to to learn this, rather develop this which I found is 'teaching', yes teaching. I have had hands on experience with the same, and it was great experience, though at that point of time I was not mature enough to see/understand this side of coin, I was just excited by the monetary benefits I was making out of it.
Later during my short stint with SLB I faced the similar situation where to deal with people with different ethnic background was a day to day routine, had those people be of grade engineer, this would have been cake walk, the challenge was that the group of people I had to deal with were of the grade of workers/operators. Again the experience was enriching.
Then came Shell, here the task was little different, other than making business sense in India, Shell also want to take site workers to a level of awareness where they care for themselves, yes for themselves. At first glance it looks strange, but its true. Take example of any type of industry, onsite workers are ill treated like animals, by this I mean that they are made to work in an environment where a small mistake could cause dearly for them. There is no sense of importance for human life, neither the supervisor cares about it nor do the workers. So Shell is leading from the front by setting up examples on safe working conditions, for which the feeling has to come internal to each worker, unless they start caring for themselves no one is going to care for them. So however trivial it might look for the people sitting in Offices and making plans and all, this is the fact on ground. So I am also one of the guy who is doing this for Shell besides routine job.
Guess diverted too much from the actual point, and now you know why I said I am poor at putting my views/thoughts forth effectively, I started with something and finished something totally different.
